Senior Pastor Bill Colclasure

Pastor Bill graduated with a BS in Science Education from the University of Missouri and taught science in his hometown of Wood River, Illinois. Wanting to learn more theology in order to defend the Christian faith, he attended Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, where he earned his Master of Divinity degree. For five years, Bill spent time as an associate pastor in Ft. Lauderdale before being asked to come to Orlando as a church planter. In the early 1980’s, he founded Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church which became a congregation founded on the grace of Jesus and built around the hope we have in the resurrection of Christ, our own resurrection and the restoration of the world. For over 25 years, Bill has faithfully served this congregation.

Bill and his wife of 35 years, Mary K, have two adult children, Will and Rob, and a daughter-in-law, Julie. Three subjects in this life are Bill’s main interests: theology, science, and the marvels of God’s creation. Approach him with questions about any of these, and you will have a hard time getting out of the conversation. On Bill’s day off, you can often find Bill and Mary K enjoying the beautiful beach at Ponce Inlet.
